Mostly on single track roads up and down hills all day.  One horrid section along an A road with no path.   Very sore feet today.  But I am a day ahead of schedule .   Here are some examples of what the day was like

Almost Packed

I am almost packed and have marked most of my maps and made most of my plans. I am leaving at the end of Monday 24th of June 2013 and start the walk with an easy 10 mile start (I hope). Then the next few days are a slight ramp-up with 12, 15,13 and 10 mile days before the seriously long days start.

Shortly I will be setting off to walk from Land's end to John O Groats, a distance of about 930 miles.   This isn't part of an organised trip, I have spend many hours working out the route, which is almost finished.   

I will be walking about 15 to 25 miles each day, and sleeping most nights in my Bongo campervan.   To make this work I have chosen a route where I can finish each day where there is transport to take me back to where I have parked.   This method allows me to walk most of the route without carrying an enormous rucksack.
